SQM to attend Exponor 2024 with business center

One of EXPONOR 2024’s strategic partners is SQM, a Chilean mining company based in northern Chile that provides solutions for human progress through its five lines of business: Specialty Plant Nutrition; Iodine and Derivatives; Lithium and Derivatives; Potassium and Solar Salts. Known for sustainable mining, it plays a leading role worldwide in each of these industries.

The company invites suppliers to visit SQM at EXPONOR 2024, which will be located at stand No. 21 in Outdoor Zone B, one of the largest mining business hubs at the exhibition, with 120 m².

Site visits: Coya Sur and Salar del Carmen

SQM will play a significant role at the 20th edition of EXPONOR, taking part in seminars, networking, technical visits and staffing a stand/business center, where executives and professionals from the supply and purchasing areas will be available to evaluate business opportunities with potential suppliers.

“For SQM, EXPONOR is a very important showcase for our work, in all areas, in the Antofagasta Region. EXPONOR’s domestic and international exposure allows us to go deeper, connect and develop business opportunities and projects in the pipeline,” said Pablo Pisani, SQM’s Corporate Affairs Manager, for its Nitrates and Iodine Division.

On Wednesday, June 5, it will offer three site visits, one to Coya Sur to learn about solar salts and sodium and potassium nitrate, and two to Salar del Carmen, where lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide are produced. They last two and a half hours and space is limited. Due to high demand for the Coya Sur option, the Carmen Plant option opened up this week and still has spots available.

For SQM, “EXPONOR is also a very relevant opportunity to show what we are and what we do; one of the fundamental elements for us our female workforce, which accounts for 20% of our personnel, but also facing challenges to continue growing.
