Ricardo Ramos
General Manager Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ramos earned an industrial engineering degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In 1989, he joined SQM as Finance Advisor and served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Services from 1994 until 2018, before assuming his current role in January 2019. -
Pablo Altimiras
General Manager Nitrates Iodine Division Mr. Altimiras holds a degree in industrial engineering and an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He joined SQM in 2007 as Head of Logistics Projects and after two years became Regulatory Affairs Manager. In 2010 he became Deputy Development Manager and two years later was promoted to Development and Planning Manager. He was appointed Vice-President of Development and Planning in 2016, assumed as Senior Vice-President of Sales, Lithium and Iodine at the end of 2018 and became Executive Vice-President of Iodine Nitrates in December 2021. -
Carlos Díaz Ortiz
General Manager Lithium Potassium Division Mr. Díaz holds a degree in industrial engineering and an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He joined SQM in 1996 as a Planning Engineer. In 2002 he became Deputy Finance Manager for the Commercial Offices and four years later was promoted to Logistics Manager. Carlos Díaz was appointed Vice President of Nitrates and Iodine Operations in 2012, Senior Vice-President of Potassium and Lithium Operations in March 2019, and Executive Vice-President of Lithium in December 2021. -
Gerardo Illanes
Vice President Services and Finance Gerardo Illanes is a Civil Industrial Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds an MBA from Goizueta Business School of Emory University, USA. He joined SQM in 2006 and since then has held various positions in the Finance area, both in Chile and abroad. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Soquimich Comercial, and had served as the Vice-President of Corporate Finance and CFO since 2018. -
